Jackson Theater Needs You!!
An exciting new Volunteer Program is being offered that
will allow you to be a part of the action, and participate
in the rebirth of the Mahalia Jackson Theater!
In addition to the amazing line-up from the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra,
New Orleans Opera Association, and the New Orleans Ballet Association, the
Mahalia Jackson Theater will be home to exciting concerts and Broadway shows.
This is your opportunity to meet new people, learn new
skills and have fun...all while getting the opportunity
to see the amazing performances that will grace the Mahalia
Jackson stage.
To join our volunteer community you must be 18 years or older and attend our
Usher University!

• Or, call our Volunteer Hotline at 504.569.3377. Please leave your
name and phone number, speaking slowly and clearly, and
spell your last name to ensure we have the proper information.
If you are already registered for Usher University...
Usher University will be held at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre,
you should enter through the ground level entrance. The
day of your Volunteer Training class, please be prompt
- doors will be closed at the beginning of each session.
Training lasts approximately 2 hours. Please come prepared
to stay for the entire session.
